Olga Bérgolo

Olga Bérgolo (born June 13, 1939 in Montevideo , Uruguay) is a Uruguayan dancer .

Life

Bérgolo received her training from Alberto Pouyanne and María Ruanova . She also studied in Paris with Rudolf Nurejew under the director of the Ballet de l'Opéra de Paris Raymond Franchetti . As a result of a scholarship at the Paris Opera, she appeared at Margot Fonteyn's side in Giselle . She later continued her education abroad after receiving government invitations to the most important ballet schools in France, Germany, Great Britain and the USA. Bérgolo was 1965-1982 Prima Ballerina of SODRE . She also runs her own academy, from which numerous students danced at the opera des Teatro Solís or at the Millennium Concerts in the Hotel Conrad in Punta del Este . Bérgolo is married to the conductor and composer Federico García Vigil .
