Chof Ashkelon (lit .: "Regional Association of Coastal Strip of Ashkelon") is a regional administration in Israel . 15,600 people live in the 167 km² regional network (as of 2014).
history
The regional administration was established in 1950.
On Sabbath June 2, 2018 fire in Carmia Nature Park was triggered by a rise out of the Gaza Strip left fire dragon that destroyed at least one third of the protected area. Authorities speak of the worst fire since the Palestinians used the fire dragons on March 30, 2018.
