Choi Yun-chil
Choi Yun-chil (born July 19, 1928 ) is a retired South Korean marathon runner .
In 1947 he became national champion in 2:36:37 h. At the 1948 Olympic Games in London, he did not reach the goal.
At the Boston Marathon in 1950 he was third in 2:39:47 hours over a short distance (41.1 km). Also too short (41.834 km) was the route on which he became national champion in 2:25:15 h the following year.
In 1952 he won in 2:26:07 h in the national elimination match for the Olympic Games in Helsinki , in which he was fourth in 2:26:36 h.
In 1954 he won the Asian Games over 1500 m and won silver over 5000 m . At the Asahi Marathon he was fourth in 2:31:00 h.
In 1955 he won a marathon in Kwangju with his personal best of 2:25:15 h.
