Chrapów

Chrapów ( German Grapow ) is a residential area in the Lubusz Voivodeship in Poland . He belongs to the Gmina Dobiegniew (municipality of Woldenberg) in the powiat Strzelecko-Drezdenecki .

The place to live is in Neumark , about 90 km northeast of Küstrin and about 100 km southeast of Stettin .

Until 1941, Grapow formed a rural community in the Friedeberg Nm district. and with this district belonged to the Prussian province of Brandenburg , from 1938 to the province of Pomerania . In 1925 there were 124 inhabitants in 24 households in Grapow. Besides Grapow, there were no named places to live in the community. On October 1, 1941, Grapow was incorporated into the neighboring rural community of Wolgast .

In 1945 Grapow, like all areas east of the Oder-Neisse line , came to Poland. Grapow received the Polish place name "Chrapów".

Personalities

  • Hans von Strantz (1739-1815), Prussian major general and head of a dragoon regiment, died in 1815 on his Grapow estate
