Chris Ohnemus

Christine Patricia "Chris" Ohnemus (born July 17, 1964 in Lahr / Black Forest ) is a German author .

Life

Chris Ohnemus grew up as the second daughter of a carpenter and office clerk in a Catholic village in the Black Forest. She completed a commercial apprenticeship and worked as a commercial clerk for about a year before she graduated from secondary school in Stuttgart in 1988 and studied communications , German and theater studies in Munich , and later philosophy in Berlin . In addition to her studies, she worked as a dramaturgy assistant and directing intern at various stages.

In 1997 her first play Ella and El was premiered at the Oberhausen Theater. This was followed by Mein Liebling bist du , which premiered at the State Theater in 1998 and was also produced as a radio play. As a playwright for the Rowohlt Theaterverlag, she translated plays for the latter and for Kaiser Verlag. In 1998 she received a scholarship from the script workshop in Munich , after which she worked for a year as a dramaturge at the Staatstheater Kassel before she began developing material for German television.

From 2000 to 2004 she wrote for various film productions, including a. for Ziegler Film, UFA Filmproduktion, Ophir Film, before there was a continuous collaboration with Saarländischer Rundfunk , which has resulted in a series of literary radio plays since 2005. She lives with her family in Berlin.
