Christel Heidemann

Christel Heidemann (* 1924 ; † 1998 ) was a German physician and the founder of color meridian therapy .

Professional background

She was a state-certified physiotherapist and worked as a teacher in Boppard and Freiburg im Breisgau at the schools for physiotherapy and massage located there, including the connective tissue massage according to Dr. Theirich-Leube taught.

She was interested in Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), especially acupuncture . Above all, the fact that Steiner speaks of a “four-part structure of the human organism” in anthroposophic medicine into the physical body, etheric body , astral body and I , prompted her to look for a connection between anthroposophic medicine and Chinese medicine. Steiner saw the etheric body as a shimmering structure of colors. Christel Heidemann suspected the same system that is represented in Chinese medicine by acupuncture meridians . The twelve main acupuncture meridians were represented by her as an organ clock . It also established a connection to Goethe's color circle and assigned the twelve colors to the twelve meridians of TCM. The method is one of the color therapies .

She checked the effectiveness of the colors that she applied to the functional points of the meridians with the help of the connective tissue zones that she was familiar with from the connective tissue massage. In this way, in our own opinion, we have succeeded in meaningfully combining a small part of conventional medicine with areas of anthroposophy and Chinese medicine. From the evidence-based medicine , the color meridian therapy is not recognized; there are no scientific studies on the promised mode of action.

She began to pass on her knowledge in the 1970s in Freiburg and Badenweiler . Heidemann called her work The Restoration of the Order of Living Processes , since it is an "energetic order therapy".
