Christian Bolaños Navarro (born May 17, 1984 in San José ) is a Costa Rican soccer player .

Career

He plays in midfield for FC Copenhagen in Denmark. He is also currently an international for his home country Costa Rica . At the Toyota Cup 2005 he was voted third best player of the tournament. After participating in the 2006 World Cup , he was also part of the Costa Rica World Cup in 2014 . Although he played in all five games for Costa Rica in Brazil, he left FC Copenhagen in September 2014 after four years and moved back home to CS Cartaginés . Less than six months later, he joined Al-Gharafa from Qatar. He played a total of eleven games in the Qatar Stars League before moving to his first club Deportivo Saprissa in the summer of 2015 .

Bolaños has been playing for the Vancouver Whitecaps in North American Major League Soccer since January 2016 .
