Christian Diendorfer (born December 18, 1974 in Haslach an der Mühl ) is an Austrian presenter and sports reporter for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF).

Life

The son of a senior secondary school teacher and a doctor's assistant completed an MBA in economics. Before that he was an employee of the Upper Austrian provincial government and gained part-time experience as a journalist for the Kronen-Zeitung (1993 to 1999). From 1999 to 2011 he worked in the ORF regional studio in Upper Austria in the areas of sport, entertainment and current services. During this time Diendorfer also graduated from the Radio Academy in Nuremberg and reported / moderated for Ö3 and Radio Upper Austria .

Since 2011, the father of three has been working at the ORF center in Vienna as a commentator, presenter and reporter (mainly soccer, Formula 1 and alpine skiing).

This includes reporting / moderation at the European Football Championships in 2008 (Austria / Switzerland), 2012 (Poland / Ukraine), 2016 (France) and at the World Cups from 1998 in France, Germany, South Africa, Brazil and Russia. More than 75 TV live broadcasts of Formula 1 as an interviewer / moderator from the pit lane and the starting grid, in the Champions League, from the National Football League as well as reports and presentations at several other major sports events such as the Olympic Winter Games and of Summer Olympics. At the Alpine Ski World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen / Schladming / Beaver-Creek / St. Moritz / Are, he was part of the ORF World Cup team as a moderator and reporter.

In the UEFA Organizing Committee of the U-19 European Football Championship in 2007 , he acted as event manager, moderator and media advisor.

As an author, Christian Diendorfer wrote a children's book as well as the biography of cross-country Olympic and world champion Christian Hoffmann .
