Christian Ehrenfried Charisius (politician, 1647)
Christian Ehrenfried Charisius (born May 25, 1647 in Frankfurt (Oder) , † June 29, 1697 in Stralsund ) was a mayor of Stralsund .
Life
Charisius had been a member of the Stralsund city council since 1673 and was elected mayor in 1681.
Among his merits was the promotion of urban administration and science.
Christian Ehrenfried Charisius was married to Anna Hagemeister (* 1661; † 1690) since April 26, 1677. His son Johann Ehrenfried Charisius was also Mayor of Stralsund from 1733 to 1760. His grandson Christian Ehrenfried Charisius held this office from 1764 to 1773.
