Christian Ehrenfried Charisius (born September 20, 1722 in Stralsund , † May 17, 1773 in Wismar ) was a German lawyer , politician and mayor of Stralsund.

Christian Ehrenfried Charisius was the son of Stralsund State Secretary Carl Christian Charisius and his wife Beate Friederike Gerdes. He attended the Stralsund high school and then studied law. He was Syndicus from 1747 and Protosyndicus from 1757. Under the name of Charisien , he was raised to the Swedish nobility in 1761. From 1764 to 1773 he was mayor of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund. He was also appointed royal Swedish district administrator in 1766 . During this time he was sent four times to Stockholm as a member of the Swedish Pomeranian Parliament . In 1773 he was appointed assessor at the Wismar Tribunal , but died soon afterwards.

His grandfather Christian Ehrenfried Charisius was also Mayor of Stralsund from 1681 to 1697. His uncle Johann Ehrenfried Charisius held this office from 1733 to 1760.

Christian Ehrenfried Charisius was married to Catharina Gertrud Schwartz (1728–1785), the daughter of Stralsund's mayor Christian Schwartz († 1753) , since 1748 . Both were buried in the village church of Pütte . Her son Carl Ehrenfried Charisius (1749–1794) was a councilor in Swedish Pomerania and envoy to the Prussian court.
