Christian Ericsson (born December 23, 1973 in Ljungby ) is a former Swedish handball player who was mostly used as a right backcourt player .
The 1.93 m tall Ericsson played for the Swedish clubs Ljungby HK, Växjö HF and LUGI HF . In 2000 he came to the German handball league for TSV Bayer Dormagen . In the 2001/02 season he ran on for TV Großwallstadt . He then ended his career at HK Drott .
Christian Ericsson made his debut in the Swedish national team in 1997. At the 1999 World Cup , he beat the Russian team in the final and became world champion. Two years later he was again in the final of a World Cup , but this time defeated France. By 2004 he played 49 international matches , in which he scored 73 goals.
