Christian Friedrich von Dettinger

Christian Friedrich Dettinger , from 1861 von Dettinger , (* February 21, 1804 in Stuttgart ; † February 12, 1876 ibid) was prelate and general superintendent of Reutlingen .

Life

After attending the Urach seminar and studying Protestant theology at the University of Tübingen , in 1829 he was a tutor and sub-librarian at the Tübingen monastery . Stations in Backnang and Allmersbach followed , before he was first second in 1837 and first deacon at the Stuttgart collegiate church from 1846 . From 1845 to 1847 he was administrative dean of Stuttgart.

In 1848 Dettinger was the founder of a committee to set up a private teacher seminar to train Christian elementary school teachers , and in 1850 a member of a committee to establish a Christian private high school. He was also President of the Württemberg Bible Institute .

In 1852 Dettinger was appointed prelate and general superintendent of Reutlingen , as well as a member of the consistory and the royal Württemberg study council. He was also a member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg Land estates from 1852 until he retired in 1873 . In 1870 the doctorate to Dr. theol. at the University of Tübingen .
