Christian Friedrich von Berner

Christian Friedrich von Berner (actually: Barner , † after 1763) was a Prussian colonel and chief of garrison regiment No. 5 as well as a knight of the order Pour le Mérite .

Life

He comes from the old Mecklenburg family Barner .

He was a major in the Anhalt-Bernburg infantry regiment , took part in the Seven Years' War and was wounded in the Battle of Kolin . In February 1760 he became a lieutenant colonel and in February 1761 colonel and regimental commander. For the storm on the Burkersdorfer heights he received the order Pour le Mérite on July 21, 1762. On December 12, 1763 he was appointed chief of garrison regiment No. 5. In 1770 he received his resignation and a salary from grace .
