Christian Andreas Julius Reventlow (born November 7, 1807 at Gut Kaltenhof in Dänischenhagen , † March 27, 1845 in Bordesholm ) was a German administrative lawyer in the Danish service.

Life

Christian von Reventlow came from the older house of the Schleswig-Holstein nobility family ( Equites Originarii ) von Reventlow . He was a son of the royal Danish chamberlain and major general Count Heinrich von Reventlou (1763-1848), lord of the Falkenberg , heir to Wittenberg ( Martensrade ) and Kaltenhof, and his wife Anna Sophia, née. Countess von Baudissin (1778-1853). Heinrich , Friedrich and Ernst Christian von Reventlow were his brothers. He was married to Georgine von Löwenstern, the daughter of BaronGeorg Heinrich von Löwenstern and the sister of Baron Adelbert von Löwenstern . His sister Elisabeth Cornelia (1804–1890) married Josias Friedrich Ernst von Heintze-Weissenrode .

During his studies at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel he joined the Corps Holsatia in 1826 . He then continued his studies at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen , where he also joined the Göttingen Holsatia. He later became a member of the Corps Slesvica Kiel .

From 1841 to 1845 he was bailiff of the Bordesholm office and royal Danish commissioner for the construction of the first Schleswig-Holstein railway line from Altona to Kiel .

His predecessor as bailiff was his brother Count Heinrich von Reventlow , who had held this office since 1839. His successor was his brother-in-law Josias Friedrich Ernst Freiherr von Heintze , who remained in office until 1855.
