Christian Hermann Schöne

Christian Hermann Schöne (born February 10, 1763 in Bremen , † February 18, 1822 in Bremen) was a German lawyer and mayor of Bremen .

biography

Schöne was the son of Syndicus Dethard Schöne (1727–1765) and the archivist's daughter Anna Margarethe, b. from post. He was married to the councilor's daughter Helena Wichelhausen.

He graduated from the pedagogy and from 1779 the Illustre grammar school in Bremen . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Göttingen from 1781 and received his doctorate in 1786. jur. Afterwards he worked at the higher court in Berlin. He carried out extensive educational trips to France and England, Switzerland and the Netherlands and Germany.

In 1788 he became professor of law at the Illustre grammar school in Bremen. 1792 was Bremer Council first second syndic and in 1804 the first syndic of the Senate. From 1810 to 1812 he was municipal councilor during the French period in Bremen , then prefectural councilor (councilor to the French governor) and he organized a new commercial court . From 1812 to 1814 was president of this commercial court. In 1813 he took up the office of Syndicus of the city of Bremen again. In 1817 he succeeded Heinrich Lampe as mayor of Bremen and remained so until his death.

The Bürgermeister-Schoene-Strasse in Bremen- Schwachhausen was named after him.
