Christian Hochgrebe

Christian Herbert Hochgrebe (* 1973 in Zell (Mosel) ) is a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ). Since October 31, 2018 he is a deputy in the Berlin House of Representatives ( MDA ).

Live and act

After obtaining the general university entrance qualification at the Wald-Oberschule in Charlottenburg, Christian Hochgrebe completed an apprenticeship as a banker at the Bayerische Vereinsbank in Berlin and Brandenburg from 1993 to 1996 . He then studied law at the Free University of Berlin and passed his first state examination in 2002. Between 2002 and 2003 he was managing director of an advertising agency in Treptow-Köpenick and then completed his legal clerkship in the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court . Since 2006 he has been working as a freelance lawyer for BHK Rechtsanwälte Fachanwälte in Berlin and since 2011 as a specialist lawyer for tenancy and residential property law.

Hochgrebe has been a member of the SPD since 1990 and was chairman of the SPD department in Halensee from 2012 to 2019. Since 2012 he has been a member of the district executive committee of the SPD Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. In the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2011 , he ran for the SPD at number 13 on the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district list and ran for election to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 on the same list at number 11.

On October 25, 2018, Fréderic Verrycken resigned from the House of Representatives to move to the Senate Department for Finance of the State of Berlin as State Secretary . On October 31, 2018, Hochgrebe took up the mandate as a successor after Robert Drewnicki , who worked for the Berlin Senate Chancellery , and the district councilor in Steglitz-Zehlendorf, Carolina Böhm, who were on the district list before him, waived their mandate. In the House of Representatives he is a member of the main committee , the districts subcommittee and the budgetary control subcommittee.

Christian Hochgrebe is unmarried and has two children.
