Fréderic Verrycken (* 24. May 1977 in Brussels ) is a German politician of the SPD .

Life

Verrycken studied political science at the Free University of Berlin . After completing his studies, he worked for the newspaper vorwärts as an editor from 2005 and as editor-in-chief of the newspaper DEMO from 2010 to 2011 . In addition to his professional activity, Verrycken began to be politically active and joined the SPD.

As a direct candidate for the SPD in the constituency of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf 1, Verrycken succeeded in entering the Berlin House of Representatives in the House of Representatives election in September 2011 . He was able to defend his direct mandate in the House of Representatives election in September 2016 .

On October 23, 2018, Fréderic Verrycken was appointed by the Berlin Senate as the new State Secretary in the Senate Administration for Finances of the State of Berlin , replacing Klaus Feiler . Therefore he left the House of Representatives, his successor was Christian Hochgrebe .

Verrycken is married and has two children.
