Christian Ihle Hadland (* 1983 in Stavanger , Norway ) is a Norwegian pianist .

Life

Hadland received his first piano lessons at the age of eight from Ingeborg Songe-Møller. From the age of eleven he studied with Erling Ragnar Eriksen at the Art Faculty of the University of Stavanger , the former Rogaland Music Conservatory . He later studied with Jiri Hlinka at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo .

At the age of 15 he made his orchestral debut with the Norsk rikskringkasting orchestra . He has appeared as a soloist with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra . On December 10, 2006, he accompanied the American soprano Renée Fleming at the official award ceremony for the Nobel Peace Prize .

Hadland has since played with all major Norwegian symphony orchestras , but also with international ones such as the London Symphony Orchestra , the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Czech Radio. He took part in well-known festivals such as the "Risør Chamber Music Festival", the Bergen International Festival and three times in a row at the Kissinger Sommer (2006–2008). At these festivals he worked with top-class artists such as Janine Jansen , Truls Mørk and Clemens Hagen .

At the international piano competition Kissinger Piano Olympics in 2006 he won first prize. In 2009 he received the 1 million NOK doped talent scholarship of the group Statoil to promote its further career in the next three years and in 2000 he won the International Balys Dvarionas Competition in Vilnius ( Lithuania ).

The pianist is in great demand not only as a soloist in large orchestral concerts, but also as a chamber musician and accompanist.
