Christian Jasper

Christian Jasper (born December 17, 1985 in Oelde ) is a German lawyer and theologian . He is incardinated as a priest in the Archdiocese of Cologne .

Life

Christian Jasper studied law at the University of Cologne and Catholic theology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn .

2014 he was a jurisprudential work for religious assignment and politically bound public office in the tension of the constitutional principles of equality and counter-rotating constitutional law Dr. iur. PhD. In 2015, this work was awarded the CHB doctoral award from the Law Faculty of the University of Cologne. The work shows that religious and political views of applicants may only be taken into account in particularly well-founded exceptional cases when filling state offices.

Furthermore, Jasper published e.g. T. with his doctoral supervisor Michael Sachs , a series of articles on public law with a special focus on questions of law and religion.

His 2014 publication on the property guarantee was listed in the specialist literature as further reading. Its 2013 publication on organ donation was entered in the German Bundestag in 2018 and was used to document information on the development of the number of organ donations and the organ donation process in Germany, Croatia, Sweden, Spain and the USA .

On May 27, 2018 Christian Jasper was in Altenberg Cathedral by Bishop Ansgar Puff the deacon for the Archdiocese ordained Cologne. He was ordained a priest on June 28, 2019 by Cardinal Archbishop Rainer Maria Woelki in Cologne Cathedral .

In 2019 he published a popular science book on legal issues relating to child and youth work in churches, associations or other organizations.
