Wilfried Erbguth
Wilfried Erbguth (born May 4, 1949 in Rostock ) is a German legal scholar.
Erbguth studied law at the University of Münster . After receiving his doctorate in 1975 he was a judge at the Münster Administrative Court until 1978 and from 1978 taught at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia . After his habilitation in 1985, various professorships followed. From 1989 to 1992 he was a professor at the Ruhr University in Bochum . From 1992 until his retirement in 2014 he was a professor at the University of Rostock at the chair for public law with special focus on administrative law . From 1995 he was also a member of the German Council for Land Care .
His research interests include constitutional law , Administrative Law , Construction Law , Planning Law , Environmental Law , European Law and International Law .
Erbguth is or was co-editor of the magazines " NordÖR ", " Natur und Recht " and the "Zeitschrift für Angewandte Umweltforschung". During his tenure as managing director of the Baltic Sea Institute for Maritime Law and Environmental Law, which lasted until the end of 2017, he was also the editor of the "Rostocker Schriften zum Maritime Law and Environmental Law", a member of the scientific advisory board of the Environment Minister Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and a member of the "Lake Advisory Group" of the Schleswig- Holstein State Government.
