Journal for Public Law in Northern Germany
The journal for public law in Northern Germany (abbreviated: NordÖR ) is a legal specialist journal in which important state law topics of the five northern German states Bremen , Hamburg , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein are published, especially essays on the "wet" issues of the coastal region in state administration and state legislation as well as the jurisdiction of the higher administrative courts.
Brief description
The five northern German coastal states are linked by a large number of comparable administrative law problems, which is also evident in parallel state law provisions. Accordingly, administrative case law in this area is of overarching interest. The journal for public law in Northern Germany - NordÖR - is run by judges from the administrative and higher administrative courts of the five northern German coastal states. The NordÖR provides an up-to-date and complete picture of constitutional and administrative law in northern Germany. The practice-relevant jurisprudence - in particular of the higher administrative courts and constitutional courts - is comprehensively documented. The essays, information and contributions in the current forum are aimed at anyone interested in the development of public law in northern Germany.
The structure
The magazine appears 12 times a year (double issue July / August) with approx. 44 pages and contains:
- in each issue there are essays on North German topics in which authors prepare and discuss current questions for practitioners in the legal profession, jurisprudence and administration,
- a "current forum" in which practitioners can comment critically in a short, concise form on current legislative proposals, new court decisions or specific administrative issues,
- an up-to-date information section with news from legislation, administration and courts as well as other messages of specifically northern German interest,
- a jurisprudence section structured according to subject areas with practical decisions from all five countries; In addition, the case law is documented in guiding principles.
