Christian Jedinger
Christian Jedinger (born November 13, 1977 in Haag am Hausruck , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian trade unionist ( FSG ) and has been state chairman of the Upper Austria younion union since October 1, 2018 .
Life
Christian Jedinger is the son of a worker and a truck driver. From 1984 to 1992 he attended elementary and secondary school in his home town of Haag am Hausruck. From 1992 to 1996 he graduated from the BORG in Ried im Innkreis and completed the natural science branch with the Matura . From 1996 to 2004, he then studied law at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz , from which he graduated with the academic degree Magister .
During his studies Jedinger also started his union and political career. From 1998 to 2003 he was a member of the federal board of the VSStÖ . In 2001 he was elected deputy chairman of the student body at the University of Linz and a member of the regional youth committee of the GPA-djp . From 2006 to 2011 Christian Jedinger was a member of the state board of the young generation in the SPÖ Upper Austria and was also a member of the federal board of the young generation.
In the years 2002 to 2003 Jedinger completed his civil service as a lawyer at Volkshilfe Oberösterreich . After completing his studies, he worked as a lawyer at Maschinenring until 2007 , before working for a year as a personnel lawyer at MCE AG in Linz . In 2008 he switched to the Linz Magistrate as a lawyer and joined the community workers' union . Since 2010 he has been a confidante at the Linz City Administration and from 2013 deputy district chairman of younion Linz. In 2018 he was elected as the managing regional chairman of younion Upper Austria, succeeding Norbert Haudum, who has retired. At the state delegates' conference in 2019, he was confirmed as state chairman with 92.82 percent of the votes.
Private
Christian Jedinger has been married since 2011 and has two sons (* 2014 and * 2017). He lives with his family in Linz.
