Christian Jott Jenny

Christian Jott Jenny (born August 8, 1978 in Zurich ) is a Swiss singer , entertainer , producer and politician: Since January 1, 2019, he has been the mayor of St. Moritz .

Life and activity

Jenny sang as a boy with the Zurich Boys' Choir and played in Jörg Schneider's Pumuckl radio plays . At the Salzburg Festival he sang in a soloist group of the Zurich Boys' Choir in Puccini's Tosca under Herbert von Karajan and alongside Luciano Pavarotti . He studied classical singing and acting in Berlin . He also devoted himself to related genres such as musicals and operettas . He appears as a tenor in Switzerland and Germany in operas, operettas, music theaters or at song recitals. Jenny created the figure of the social stenor Leo Wundergut , his artistic alter ego.

In 1997 Jenny founded the production company Amt für Ideen , which produces musical theater and similar programs. In 2007 he set up the Festival da Jazz in St. Moritz, which he led as artistic director until his surprising election as mayor of St. Moritz.
