Christian Klingler

Christian Klingler (* 1968 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian manager.

From January 1, 2010 to September 25, 2015, he was a member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG , where he was responsible for Marketing , Sales and After Sales .

Klingler studied business administration at the University of Innsbruck . From 1992 to 1993 he was assistant to the management in the retail department at Porsche Inter Auto in Austria. He was then responsible for importer and retail networks for the VW and Audi brands. From 1995, Klingler managed growth projects (especially acquisition of the PGA Group) and the development of French market activities as assistant to the chairman of the management of Porsche Holding GmbH in Salzburg. In 2004 Klingler moved up to the management of Porsche Holding Salzburg himself.

From August 2008 to September 2015, he was also General Manager of Volkswagen AG on the Board of Management of the Volkswagen brand.

In 2012 he received the “Homme de l'Année 2011” (Man of the Year) award.
