Christian Kuhnke
Christian Hans Kuhnke (born April 14, 1939 in Berlin ) is a former German tennis player .
In 1959, Kuhnke completed a banking apprenticeship in Hamburg.
In 1964, the left-hander Wilhelm Bungert was defeated in the final game of the international German tennis championships at Hamburg's Rothenbaum. He also had a total of 32 missions for the German Davis Cup team . Together with Bungert, Kuhnke lost the final against the US team 5-0 in 1970. Despite the defeat, it was the greatest success of a German Davis Cup team to date. His greatest successes at Wimbledon were moving into the quarterfinals in 1963 and 1964. At the side of Bungert, he was also in 1962 in the double finals of the French Open .
After his era as a tennis player, the doctor of law became a lawyer in Munich.
