Christian Löffler (* 5. April 1985 in Greifswald ) is a German techno - and Electronica - musicians , who as a live act occurs. He is co-founder of the Cologne independent label Ki Records.

Life

Löffler has been enrolled in the visual arts department at the University of Greifswald since 2006 and has lived near Rostock since 2011 . His passion for art prompts him to design most of his record covers and music videos himself. On his debut album "A Forest" he worked with the Danish singer Gry Bagøien and the German singer Mohna, on the song "Swift Code" again with the writer Marcus Roloff . This cooperation arose from a joint performance of Roloff's work “With a Leg in a Dream” at the Frankfurt Lyriktage 2011. The music magazine Intro writes about his debut album “A Forest brings the old liaison of kick drum and rustling leaves to the point in a completely unpretentious way” (Philip Fassing from Intro 203). The Musikexpress compared Löffler's music with that of Erik Satie .

criticism

“Instead of making pop for the club, Christian Löffler from Greifswald does exactly the opposite. He programs house tracks that could be described as - largely instrumental - introspective pop. [...] House as a foil for reflection and contemplation - that is also possible, as the Hamburg musicians Lawrence and Pantha du Prince showed before Löffler . 'A Forest', which shares its title with an early hit by The Cure , is already a classic of contemplative house. "
