Christian Lüring

Christian Lüring (born February 8, 1975 in Kiel ) is a German orthopedist, adjunct professor and director of the orthopedic clinic at the Dortmund Clinic . His focus is on the areas of joint and tumor surgery with expertise in foot, shoulder, hip and knee joint surgery. In particular, the implantation of knee and hip prostheses and corresponding replacement operations, but also joint-preserving operations including cartilage transplants are among his specialties. He deals with the areas of endoprosthetics of the knee and hip joints and complex revision endoprosthetics.

Life

From 1996 to 2001 Lüring studied human medicine at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn , where he obtained his doctorate in 2001 . Subsequently, from 2002 he worked as an assistant doctor at the Orthopedic University Clinic Regensburg, the trauma surgery clinic at the Medical University of Hanover and as an assistant doctor at the Kelheim District Hospital . In 2006 , Lüring completed his habilitation on the subject of soft tissue management in knee endoprosthetics , making him one of the youngest habilitation students in his field, while at the same time he was licensed to teach experimental orthopedics. In 2008 he passed the specialist examination in the field of orthopedics and was appointed senior physician at the Orthopedic University Clinic in Regensburg, expanding his teaching license to the field of orthopedics. In 2009 he added the additional qualifications physical therapy and balneology. In 2010 he was awarded the specialization title Orthopedic Rheumatology and in 2013 the additional title Special Orthopedic Surgery. From 2011 on, he was the senior physician in charge of the orthopedic clinic at the Aachen University Hospital at RWTH Aachen University . At the same time, he completed his habilitation at the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University, where he was appointed adjunct professor in 2012. In 2014 he added the specialist title of orthopedics and trauma surgery to his career. In November 2014, Lüring moved to the Dortmund Clinic and took over the management of the orthopedic clinic.

Lüring has the additional designations of special orthopedic surgery, sports medicine , physical therapy and balneology and orthopedic rheumatology . To this end, he went through training in the field of "Radiation protection: emergency & X-ray diagnostics of the entire skeleton". He is a reviewer for magazines.
