Trustly Group AB (or Trustly for short ) is a Swedish payment institution from Stockholm . The ( fintech ) company has specialized in so-called payment initiation services. In addition to initiating direct online transfers (" Pay-in ") from the customer bank account to the payee, Trustly also supports repayments (" Pay-out ") and direct debits (" Trustly Direct Debit ").

Trustly is licensed as a payment institution by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority ( Finansinspektiven ) and approved as a European Payment Service Provider (PSP) in accordance with the original Payment Services Directive (PSD, 2007/64 / EC) for the following cross-border payment services: performing payment transactions, money transfers, payment initiation services , Account information services.

service

Similar to the " Sofortüberweisung " service acquired by Klarna , Trustly offers a direct triggering of online transfers between customers and retailers. A confirmation is sent to the dealer by Trustly after the transfer has been initiated. The actual payment will take place at a later date. The dealer can now send his goods immediately or provide his services. In contrast to Sofortüberweisung, Trustly also collects customer funds in its accounts and forwards them to the merchants' accounts upon request. This also enables Trustly to carry out repayments from the merchant to customers.
