Christian Mook

Christian Mook (born October 5, 1969 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German catering entrepreneur, editor, author and publisher.

Life

He spent his childhood in Frankfurt am Main where he grew up as the son of business people at the foot of the Henninger Tower . In earlier times the self-made man without professional training devoted himself to art as a gallery owner, today he is one of the most successful and innovative restaurateurs in Germany. In 1997 he opened the M Steakhouse at Feuerbachstrasse 11a, one of the first upscale steakhouses based on the American model in Frankfurt, which laid the foundation for today's Mook Group .

In 1999 he opened the steakhouse The Surf n´Turf (named after the North American dish Surf and Turf ) on Grüneburgweg 95 , in 2006 The Ivory Club in Taunusanlage 15 with a so-called "Contemporary Colonial Cuisine", and in 2010 the Pan-Asian Supperclub Bar, Restaurant and lounge called Zenzakan , also in Taunusanlage 15 , 2012 the “French Brasserie & Oyster Bar” called Mon Amie Maxi in the hall of the listed Villa May in Bockenheimer Landstraße 31 and in spring 2018 the restaurant Franziska with so-called “Progressive German Vintage Cuisine” “In the formerly rotating restaurant on the old Henninger tower.

His Frankfurt group of companies now has almost 200 employees and is growing steadily. As an entrepreneur, Mook has annual sales in the double-digit millions.

Christian Mook is married and has two daughters. The family lives in Frankfurt am Main.
