Christian Nakonz

Christian Nakonz (born December 28, 1936 in Berlin ) is a former German ambassador .

Life

Nakonz studied law in Berlin and Freiburg. He worked for several years at the Carl Duisberg Society and the German Development Institute in Berlin .

In 1966 he joined the foreign service . He was employed in the Foreign Office's planning staff under the direction of Egon Bahr .

From 1969 to 1974 Nakonz was accredited in Cairo and Islamabad . Later he was Günter Gaus' personal assistant in the permanent representation of the Federal Government to the government of the GDR. In 1995 Nakonz was consul general in Karachi . In 2001 he was retired and since 2004 he has been the representative of the Africa Association of German Business in Berlin.

Christian Nakonz is married to Shireen Nakonz.
