Christian Pantle

Christian Pantle (born January 7, 1970 in Munich ) is a German science journalist and book author.

Life

Christian Pantle first studied physics at the LMU Munich from 1989 , where he graduated with a diploma in 1994. In 1997 he was in the subject human biology doctorate . From 1998 to 2000 he attended the Burda School of Journalism and, after graduating, worked as an editor at Focus until 2013 , and from 2011 as deputy department head. From 2013 to 2015 he was deputy editor-in-chief at PM Magazin and then switched back to Focus to become head of the knowledge and technology department . He has been editor-in-chief of G / Geschichte magazine since 2017 . In addition to his journalistic work, Pantle is also active as an author and writes books on various historical topics and appears on television as an expert. His book The Thirty Years' War , which is based on the diary of the mercenary Peter Hagendorf , was on the Spiegel's bestseller list for several weeks in 2018 .
