Christian Pauli (born January 30, 1992 in Osnabrück ) is a German-Austrian soccer player.

Career

Pauli began playing football at VfL Büren , where he was also spotted for the Tecklenburger Land district selection. Then VfL Osnabrück became aware of him, so that he switched to VfL's C-youth team in 2005 and went through the youth teams there. In the summer of 2010, the center forward was appointed to the professional squad. From then on, however, he played mainly in the upper division team of VfL. It was not until the end of the season on April 16, 2011 that Pauli, who, as the son of Austrian parents, has both German and Austrian citizenship, played his first game in the 2nd Bundesliga when he came on in the 77th minute of the away defeat against Hertha BSC has been. In his fourth appearance on May 8, 2011, Pauli scored his first goal for Lower Saxony as a joker four minutes after being substituted at home against VfL Bochum .

In addition to his work as a soccer player, Pauli has been training as a sports and fitness clerk at VfL Osnabrück since 2010. In March 2011 he was invited by the Austrian Football Association to attend a course for the U-20 national team.

In January 2013 he extended his contract with VfL Osnabrück until the end of June 2015, but was loaned to the regional league club SV Wilhelmshaven until the end of the 2012/13 season in order to gain more match practice. In the summer of 2014 Pauli dissolved his contract in Osnabrück and moved to the regional league team BSV Rehden . After half a year he left this club and went to Austria for FC Kitzbühel . With the club, he was relegated from the Regionalliga West in 2016 .
