Christian Reinthaler (born May 14, 1975 ) is a former Austrian ski jumper .

Career

Reinthaler started in 1991 in the newly created Ski Jumping Continental Cup . After he achieved very good performances there in his second season in 1992/93, he was nominated for the national team and competed in his first ski jumping world cup competition on December 19, 1992 . At the end of the normal hill in Sapporo he finished 19th and just barely missed the points. On January 6, 1993, he won World Cup points for the first time in Bischofshofen with 12th place. He also succeeded in doing this in Predazzo and on the Kulm . In the second competition on the Kulm he was able to achieve his best individual result in the World Cup with 6th place. The 1992/93 season he finally finished in 31st place in the overall World Cup standings. In the ski flying rating he took 7th place. In the following years Reinthaler jumped further in the Continental Cup and was nominated again for three World Cup competitions in 1996, in which, however, he could not win any more World Cup points. In 1998 he ended his active ski jumping career.
