Christian Richter (born March 1, 1978 in Osnabrück ) is a German chess player.

Life

He learned to play chess at the age of 6.

Important individual successes:

  • 2000: Cup winner of the Chess Federation NRW
  • 2000: Shared 1st place at the Werthaner Schloß-Open (with GM Wladimir Epishin )
  • 2003: Finalist in the German Dähne Cup (against IM Thies Heinemann )
  • 2000–2008 nine-time city champion of Osnabrück
  • 2005 1st place in the Alligator Cup
  • 2006 and 2013 1st place in the Beelen Whitsun tournament
  • 2006 Shared 1st place at the Nordhäuser Open (with GM Roman Slobodjan )

In 2009 Richter was appointed International Master , he fulfilled the required standards at two First Saturday IM tournaments in September 2004 and September 2006 (each with over-fulfillment) and in the Bundesliga 2008/09 . His Elo number is 2370 (as of November 2014), his highest Elo number of 2453 he reached in January 2007.

In 1991 he joined SV Osnabrück from 1919 . In 1996 he moved to SK Turm Emsdetten . With the club he was promoted from the district league to the first division in just six years . After the club withdrew to the 2nd Bundesliga West for financial reasons , they were again promoted to the top division in 2008. After the SK Turm Emsdetten withdrew again in 2016, Richter switched to the second team of SV Werder Bremen

In the Dutch Meester class , Richter played for the Ensched club ESGOO from 2004 to 2011 , and has played for HMC Calder since 2012 . In the Belgian interclubs he played from 2009 to 2011 for L'Echiquier Amaytois .
