Christian Samuel Butz

Christian Samuel Butz (e) (* around 1699; † March 15, 1775 in Johanngeorgenstadt ) was a Saxon mountain master and mountain sworn .

Butz was as Bergmeister in initially to 1730 Neugeising in Osterzgebirge worked before moving to Johanngeorgenstadt into Westerzgebirge went where he was engaged as a mountain juror and Eisenstein surveyor. He moved into a stately house in Brauhausgasse 164. After the death of the previous miner Christian Salomon Zeidler , he took over the management of the Johanngeorgenstadt Mining Authority in 1754 . At the age of 70 he retired in 1769. He died six years later.
