Christian Schütz (graphic designer)

Christian Schütz (born January 29, 1941 in Berlin ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

Life

After writing a political essay at the age of 16, Christian Schütz was denied studies in the GDR . From 1959 until the construction of the Berlin Wall he studied at the University of the Arts in West Berlin. From 1962 to 1989 he worked as a freelance artist in the GDR, a. a. with painting, photography and experimental films for the television of the GDR , with stage sets and illustrations. Since 1998 his focus has been on the development of digital work cycles and digital art . In 2003, his political persecution was recognized and he was rehabilitated.

Schütz lives in Berlin-Karlshorst , is married and has three children.
