Christian Spatscheck

Christian Spatscheck (* 1971 in Immenstadt im Allgäu ) is a German social worker , social pedagogue and professor at the University of Bremen .

biography

Spatscheck has been professor for theories and methods of social work at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Bremen since 2008 . In addition, he has been a visiting scholar at the School of Social Work and Social Welfare (Socialhögskolan) at Lund University since 2011 and a visiting professor at the Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche at the University of Pisa since 2014 . He completed other guest stays, for example in May 2014 as a visitor at the EUI - European University Institute in Fiesole / Florence.

Between 2006 and 2008 Spatscheck was a substitute professor for didactics / methodology of social pedagogy in the department of social and cultural studies at the University of Düsseldorf . Before that, he taught freelance at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin , the MCI Innsbruck , the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam , the Catholic University of Freiburg and the Catholic University of Social Sciences in Berlin . Christian Spatscheck studied social work at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Freiburg from 1991 to 1996 and graduated there as a Dipl.-Soz.-Arb. (FH). From 1997 to 2000 he completed a degree in educational science, communication science and psychology at the University of Education in Freiburg , where he graduated with a degree in pedagogy . from. He received his doctorate in 2005 at the Institute of Education at the the Technical University of Berlin Dr. phil. At the "isiberlin - Institute for Systemic Training and Impulse" he completed a course in "Systemic Consulting and Process Support", which he completed in 2014 with a degree as a systemic consultant (SG).

He pursues the main focus of the theories and methods of social work and represents in particular social space-related work approaches, systemic thinking and acting, social pedagogy, child and youth welfare, especially youth work, as well as international social work.

Since 2014 he has been a member of the board of the German Society for Social Work (DGSA). Since 2016 he has also been one of the two speakers for the theory and science development section of the DGSA.

Spatscheck is the managing editor of the online journal Sozialraum.de, a member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Social Work, works on the advisory board of the specialist journals Nordic Social Work Research, neue praxis, Zeitschrift für Sozialpädagogik, Soziale Arbeit (DZI), and is co-editor of the book series "Theory, research and practice of social work" at the Barbara Budrich publishing house and member of the advisory board of the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI), the Bachelor Prize of the Caritasstiftung Hamburg, the Bremen Advisory Office for Educational Aids (BeBeE) and the Attac advisory board .
