Christian Straubinger (born June 29, 1902 in Alm near Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer , † February 1, 1983 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school, Straubinger learned the trade from 1916 to 1919. He then worked first as a commercial clerk until April 1, 1920, then until September 1921 as an office assistant in the torrent control and finally until April 1924 as a woodworker. He then worked as a game warden until December 1926. During this time he passed the state hunting test in 1925. From 1927 to 1929 he learned the stone wall and miner trade.

In September 1929 Straubinger joined the Austrian branch of the Nazi movement. In August 1934 he was arrested - probably for participating in the National Socialist July coup against the Dollfuss government - and sentenced to death by hanging on October 8, 1934 . On December 6, 1934, he was pardoned to fifteen years in heavy prison before he was finally released under an amnesty in July 1936. On December 17, 1936, Straubinger moved to the German Reich , where he was looked after by the NSDAP Refugee Agency in Munich .

From April 1938 until the end of the Nazi regime in the spring of 1945, Straubinger was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for Austria . In the SA he reached the rank of Sturmbannführer in 1943.
