Christian Wunderlich (actor)

Christian Wunderlich (born July 12, 1979 in Cologne ) is a German actor , singer and songwriter .

Life

After the twins Stephanie and Alexandra, Wunderlich was the youngest child of Renate and Claus Wunderlich. Wunderlich's father died of a brain tumor in 1993.

In response to a job advertisement in a Cologne newspaper, Wunderlich applied to the daily soap Verbotene Liebe in 1995 and was cast in the role of Frank Levinsky. He quickly developed from a small supporting role to one of the leading actors . In August 1998 Christian Wunderlich's first single, That’s My Way to Say Goodbye , came out. The singles In Heaven and So in Love followed . In June 1999, Wunderlich left the daily soap Verbotene Liebe .

In 1999 he was awarded two bronze Bravo Otto awards for best television actor and singer. He also won the 1998 Popcorn Award as a crowd favorite.

Wunderlich's debut album Real Good Moments was released on September 6, 1999 and was in the top 20 of the charts in both Germany and Switzerland.

On 11 January 2000, the first episode was ZDF - TV series The Nesthocker - to give family , the role of Oliver Brandt played in the Wunderlich broadcast. The show's theme song was Real Good Moments , which he wrote .

On November 27, 2000, Wunderlich released his second album, Reflections , which, however, did not match the previous success.

After two seasons he got out of Die Nesthocker to go on an Asian tour with the Irish band Westlife . He then withdrew from the public for a time. It wasn't until 2006 that people noticed him again when he played the role of the humorous, slightly clumsy air traffic controller Jochen "Klemmi" Klemm in the telenovela Butterflies in the Belly .

In autumn 2009 Christian Wunderlich announced his comeback as a singer on his website. On March 19, 2010, his new single Laughed, not to cry, was released from the album Between the Lines . In the meantime he worked as an editor for the call-in show Domian .

In 2016 Christian Wunderlich celebrated a comeback with the ZDF film License to Affair .
