Christian von Arnim

Ernst Wilhelm Christian von Arnim (born February 12, 1800 in Elbing ; † December 17, 1852 in Copenhagen ) was a German district administrator and politician.

Life

Von Arnim was the son of Captain Johann Christian Georg von Arnim and his wife Auguste Henriette Charlotte von Sydow. Arnim, who was a Protestant denomination, married Nathalie Josephine Fiederike von Baczko (born January 31, 1805 in Berlin, † October 14, 1867 in Königsberg), the daughter of Major General Joseph Theodor Sigismund von Baczko, in Speck in Mecklenburg on May 5, 1826 .

Von Arnim became a lieutenant and adjutant in the 1st Landwehr Brigade and later a captain. He was the owner of the manor and lord of Planitz (shared in 1828) and Koppershagen (from 1831). From 1843 to 1851 he was landscape councilor in the Königsberg administrative district. In 1850 he became provisional administrator of the district office in the Mohrungen district and from February 8 to October 27, 1851, he was definitely district administrator there. From 1851 to 1852 he was district administrator in the Gerdauen district .

He was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Prussia . In 1847 and 1848 he was a member of the First and Second United State Parliaments . In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament .
