The Brokes family owned half of the Lübschen Gut Krempelsdorf for six generations . The previous owner was the mayor of Lübeck, Heinrich Brockes II , an uncle of Christian. Christian Brokes became a member of the patrician circle society , which had reached a degenerative late phase, and was ennobled by Emperor Leopold II , both in 1773. In 1786 he built the Krempelsdorf mansion at the gates of the city, today as the parish hall of the Paul-Gerhard- Community used.
