Christiane Bergmann

Christiane Bergmann (* 1966 in Bremerhaven ) was police chief of the police department of Saxony-Anhalt South from 2011 to 2017 .

Life

Christiane Bergmann grew up in Steinau, Lower Saxony , and graduated from high school in Otterndorf in 1985 . She studied law at the University of Osnabrück from 1985 to 1990 and completed her legal clerkship at the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court from 1991 . She completed her legal training in 1993 with the second state examination in law.

In 1994 she joined the state service of Saxony-Anhalt as a department head in the Magdeburg regional council at the time. From 1996 she was a consultant in the police department of the Ministry of the Interior Saxony-Anhalt in the areas of police law as well as personnel and service law of the police.

From November 2005 to June 2007 Bergmann was police chief in Halberstadt (at that time still as Christiane Marschalk ), from January 2008 to July 2009 head of administration at the police department Saxony-Anhalt South , then rector of the University of Applied Sciences Police Saxony-Anhalt in Aschersleben . In 2011, she succeeded Walter Schumann, who retired at the age of 65, as police chief in Halle (Saale) . In April 2017 she was transferred to the Ministry of the Interior in Magdeburg as head of the "Police" department. Her current deputy Mario Schwan took over her duties in Halle.
