Christiane Burbach

Christiane Burbach (née Ewert ; born December 21, 1948 in Lüneburg ) is a German Protestant theologian , pastoral psychologist and university teacher .

Life

After graduating from high school in Tübingen in 1969, she studied Protestant theology , German language and literature, philosophy and education in Tübingen, Zurich and Göttingen and in 1975 passed her first theological exam at the theological faculty of the Georg-August University in Göttingen . After the vicariate in Göttingen-Nikolausberg from 1975 to 1977, the second theological examination and ordination , she worked as a pastor in Obernjesa, Dramfeld, Dahlenrode and Atzenhausen from 1977 to 1985. In 1984 she was certified by the German Society for Pastoral Psychology as a trainer for person-centered pastoral care and counseling.

From 1985 to 1990 she was a student pastor in Göttingen.

In 1989, she completed her doctorate at the theological faculty in Göttingen with a thesis on argumentation in “political sermons”. Investigations into the culture of communication in theological interest . In 1990 she was appointed professor at the Evangelical University of Applied Sciences in Hanover , where she held the position of prorector and from 1996 to 2000 that of rector. The Protestant University of Applied Sciences became state sponsored in 2007 ; it was incorporated into the Hanover University of Applied Sciences (now Hanover University ) as Faculty V - Diakonie, Health and Social Affairs .
