Christiane Fischer

Uta Christiane Reinhild Margarethe Fischer (born 1967 ) is a German doctor and has been a member of the German Ethics Council since 2012.

Life

Christiane Fischer studied human medicine and Protestant theology at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken and at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg from 1986 to 1994 and graduated with the 3rd state examination in medicine in 1994, and in 1987 she also took additional training in the subject Health education in Bad Wörishofen . From 1994 to 1996 she worked as a doctor in an internship and thus obtained her license to practice medicine.

From 1996 she worked on her doctorate at the Institute of Public Health at the University of Heidelberg on the subject of "On the effectiveness of village health workers within the non-governmental organization ACCORD / AMS in South India" and in 1996 she spent some time in India for field studies. At the same time, she was an assistant doctor in a general practice practice from 1996 to 1998. From 1998 to 2013 she was Managing Director of BUKO Pharma-Campaign , Bielefeld, and from 2005 to 2010 she completed postgraduate studies at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine at the University of London , which she completed with a Master of Science degree. Christiane Fischer has been the managing director of MEZIS eV since 2013 - I pay for my meals myself / initiative of incorruptible doctors in Hamm, of which she has been a member since 2007 and was a member of the board. She is also a member of the Action Alliance against AIDS and Health Action International . In 2012 she was appointed to the German Ethics Council by the President of the German Bundestag Norbert Lammert .
