Buko has been part of the city of Coswig (Anhalt) in the Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany) since January 1st, 2009 .

Buko in the southwestern foothills of the Fläming is located between Rosseltal and the sources of the Olbitzgraben , about 40 meters higher than the middle Elbe, which runs about eight kilometers to the south . The area is very wooded (55% of the Buko district is forested). The terrain is characterized by rolling hills: the trade mountains west of Buko reach 119 m above sea level. The coat of arms was designed in 1997 by the Magdeburg municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch and included in the approval process.

Economy and Infrastructure
After German reunification, the town's infrastructure was further expanded (street modernization, sewerage, telephone cables). The Dorfgasthof Fläminger Bauernschänke opened a few years ago.

The largest employer in town is an agricultural cooperative. There is also an electrical trade company, a joinery and a car workshop.
Transport links
Buko is located between the federal highway 187a ( Zerbst / Anhalt - Coswig ) and the Köselitz motorway junction ( A 9 Berlin - Munich ). A road leads to Dessau-Roßlau via the neighboring town of Düben . In Coswig (Anhalt) and Jeber-Bergfrieden there are rail connections to Dessau-Roßlau, Potsdam and Wittenberg .
