The SV Baiersbronn is a sports club from Baiersbronn in Baden-Württemberg . Although the club existed at times as a popular sports club, today it is mainly known for its winter sports department.
history
The beginnings of sport in Baiersbronn can be found around the turn of the century. In addition to gymnastics, skiing was one of the well-known local sports. In 1906 the ski club was founded. Its members played football in the summer . As a result, a football club was founded on June 28, 1926 with VfB Baiersbronn , to which an athletics department was affiliated in 1928 .
During the time of National Socialism , the clubs were dissolved. On February 14, 1946, the administrator general of the French zone of occupation in Baden-Baden approved the new assembly. The final re-establishment took place on February 1, 1947 with the divisions football, skiing, handball, gymnastics and table tennis.
The handball and gymnastics departments left SV Baiersbronn in 1949 and founded an independent club.
The footballers are currently playing in the District League A Northern Black Forest Season 1 (Württemberg).

Trails
In addition to well-developed winter trails in the vicinity of Baiersbronn, the club uses the SVSZ Kniebis roller-skis course in summer. The scooter route is 2.3 km long. The entire route is equipped with floodlights, which enables use until 10 p.m. in winter even in snow. In order to ensure sufficient snow in winter, the trail was equipped with a snow-making system in 2002.
Ski jumps
The club built the first ski jumping hills as early as 1908. In 1923 the construction of the large Ruhesteinschanze, which is still in operation and still in operation today, has been taking place since 1996 in the Continental Cup as well as the jumping competitions in the B-World Cup of Nordic Combined. The jumps have also hosted German championships in ski jumping and Nordic combined several times. The club also operates another plastic covered ski jumping hill on Bergergrund.
