At the German Championships in Oberstdorf in 2013 he was able to confirm his good form by winning bronze in the individual and becoming German champion in the team sprint for the first time together with Fabian Rießle . At the beginning of the 2013/14 World Cup season in Kuusamo , Faißt missed the points in the individual, but was still nominated for the team competition, which he finished in second place behind Norway with Björn Kircheisen , Johannes Rydzek and Eric Frenzel . In the following weeks, his performance continued to fluctuate, so that he was not nominated for the 2018 Winter Olympics .
