The German Championships in Nordic Combined 2017 took place from October 20-22, 2017 in Klingenthal , Saxony . The organizer was the German Ski Association , the organizer VSC Klingenthal . The competition facilities were the Vogtland Arena and the running tracks at the Vogtlandarena. The championships were held on mats covered hills and roller skis . There was a Gundersen competition on the large hill and a team sprint. The juniors only had an individual competition.
German champion in the individual was Johannes Rydzek from SC Oberstdorf , while the team sprint was won by the Saxon duo Björn Kircheisen / Eric Frenzel . Simon Hüttel from WSV Weißenstadt won the championship title in the juniors . The race director of the championships was Marcus Stark.

Individual (Gundersen 10 km)
The individual competition took place on October 21, 2017 using the Gundersen method (HS140 / 10 km). 33 athletes were registered, but two of them were not included in the ranking. Tobias Simon showed the best jump of the day, while Rydzek had the best running time.

Team sprint (2 × 7.5 km)
The team sprint took place on October 22, 2017 on the large hill and over 2 × 7.5 km. There were 30 athletes registered in 15 teams, each with two combiners. However, only thirteen teams were included in the ranking. Rydzek / Geiger had the best running time, but after the fifth best jump result they were still unable to make up the gap of 26 seconds on the winning duo Kircheisen / Frenzel .
