St. Georg Schanze in Winterberg
The German Championships in Nordic Combined 2002 took place on July 26th and 27th, 2002 in Winterberg , North Rhine-Westphalia . The organizer was the German Ski Association , while the West German Ski Association was responsible for the implementation. The competition facilities was with mats occupied St. Georg ski jump and the street circuit in Winterberg. A Gundersen competition and a sprint took place.

Gundersen (HS 87/15 km)
The individual competition took place on July 26, 2002 in the Gundersen method over 15 kilometers. After two jumps, 8 laps of 1850 meters each were run on the Winterberg street circuit, with a difference in altitude of 20 meters and a total ascent of 150 meters per lap. Georg Hettich showed the best jumping performance , while Ronny Ackermann had the best running time.
