Rennsteigschanze Oberhof

The German Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Championships 2016 took place from October 20 to 23, 2016 in the Thuringian cities of Oberhof , Steinbach-Hallenberg and Zella-Mehlis . The organizer was the German Ski Association , while the Thuringian Ski Association was responsible for the implementation. The jumping competitions were held on the Rennsteigschanze covered with matting , which has its hill size at 140 meters. The cross-country skiing for the individual Nordic combined competitions took place in Steinbach-Hallenberg, while the street circuit for the team sprint was run in Zella-Mehlis. The athletes used roller skis .

Overall, the German champions on the large hill, the German champions in the team and the German junior champions were determined in ski jumping . The Nordic combined athletes held the competitions using the Gundersen method . German ski jumping champion was David Siegel for the first time, while Johannes Rydzek celebrated the championship title in the combination again. The Bavarian Ski Association won the team championship for special jumpers, the Baden-Württemberg Ski Association won the team sprint. Felix Hoffmann and Vinzenz Geiger were junior champions .

The individual competition took place on October 12, 2016 in the Gundersen method (HS140 / 10 km) and with ski rollers. 44 athletes were registered, but two did not start. The French Maxime Laheurte , Laurent Muhlethaler , Antoine Gérard , Hugo Buffard and Tom Balland started as guests and are not included in the list of results. Johannes Rydzek was able to show the best jumping as well as the best running performance and became German champion with 10.9 seconds ahead of Eric Frenzel .
